This blog is here to document the progress of regenerative farming at Koinonia Farm, a 70-year-old intentional Christian community located in southwest Georgia.

In 2006, Brendan and Sarah Prendergast moved to Koinonia for what they thought would be a one-year internship experience. It turned out God had other plans, and in 2008 they committed themselves to lifelong membership in the Koinonia community. They now plan to spend the rest of their days living, praying, studying and serving on the sacred piece of ground.

Their two daughters, Ida and Kellan, keep them on their toes. Ida loves to climb trees, roll in the clover, and dig in the dirt. Kellan, at the age of 4, was able to identify and harvest enough wild greens to pick salad for family dinners. Both girls are wise beyond their years.

Brendan and Sarah have earned Permaculture Design Certificates in courses hosted at Koinonia, and Brendan has completed training in Holistic Resource Managment.
